Jenny Adamthwaite of Molly Maid Tadworth & Epsom Celebrates History with Local Sea Scout Group

We are proud to share that Jenny Adamthwaite, Franchise Owner of Molly Maid Tadworth & Epsom, recently had the honour of spending an evening with the 1st Cuddington (Warspite) Sea Scout Group near Stoneleigh, Surrey. This inspiring event allowed Jenny to connect with the young scouts and share a piece of her personal history.

Jenny brought with her medals and artifacts from her late father, a Royal Navy veteran who served aboard HMS Warspite during WWII. The group, named after the legendary battleship, was deeply moved by the stories of his service and the navy trunk that had been passed down through generations.

One of the scouts, in a letter, expressed their appreciation:

“Thank you Jenny and Richard for showing us the warspite artifacts. We got to learn more about H.M.S Warspite and life in the navy. Thank you for bringing in artifacts to show us”

This meaningful encounter started as a routine customer visit but grew into an opportunity to bridge generations, celebrate shared history, and build local pride. It’s a perfect example of what it means to be a Community Hero, making connections, fostering understanding, and creating lasting memories.

“At Molly Maid, we believe in more than just cleaning, we believe in strengthening the fabric of our community,” said Jenny. “It was a privilege to share my father’s story with the scouts and help them connect with a part of history that shaped our local area.”
