Rupert Clarke, Franchise Owner of Molly Maid Milton Keynes, Champions Local Girls Football Team with Thoughtful Sponsorship
Rupert Clarke, the dedicated Franchise Owner of Molly Maid in Milton Keynes, is making a significant impact on the local community by sponsoring the Newport Pagnell Girls Football Team. With a long-standing tradition of providing quality football coaching to boys and girls, Newport Pagnell FC is a vital part of the community, and Rupert’s meaningful support is ensuring that the Under 14 Swans girls team is fully equipped and prepared for the upcoming season.
The sponsorship has provided the Newport Pagnell Under 14 Swans girls team with brand-new kits, ensuring that the players not only look their best but also feel confident and ready to compete. His commitment goes beyond financial support; it’s about fostering an environment where young female athletes can thrive, both on and off the pitch.
“Supporting the Under 14 Swans Girls’ Football team is about more than just providing kits—it’s about investing in the future of these young athletes and giving them the tools to succeed in all aspects of their lives,” said Rupert Clarke. “I believe in the power of sports to transform lives, and I’m proud to play a part in helping these girls develop essential life skills through football.”
While Rupert Clarke’s support of the Newport Pagnell Under 14 Swans Girls Football Team is a significant focus, it’s also worth noting the broader context of women’s football in the region. On August 12th, Leah Williamson, who was awarded the Freedom of the City in 2023, returned to Milton Keynes to celebrate the opening of The Leah Williamson Pitch at Newport Pagnell Town FC. This pitch, named in her honour, is part of the Lionesses Future Fund grants, which aim to enhance facilities and create more opportunities for women and girls in football.
Since the Lionesses’ historic EURO 2022 victory, there has been a remarkable surge in female participation in football, with 68,000 more girls taking up the sport. However, challenges such as poorly lit pitches, inadequate changing facilities, and inconvenient kick-off times still exist. In response, over £30 million has been invested in women’s football in England since 2022, significantly improving the resources and facilities available to the next generation of female footballers.
Rupert Clarke’s contribution to the Newport Pagnell Under 14 Swans Girls Football Team aligns with this national movement to empower women and girls in football. With continued community backing and investment, the future of women’s football in Milton Keynes and beyond is bright, promising more opportunities and success for the next generation of female players.
